BludWolf: A Bucket of Blood
Feat. Louis Vuitton.
Seen here are the original images, created prior to the direct marketing cammusicpaign for an unrelated promotion. The three images depicting the Tex Avery style wolf against the obscure checkerboard backdrop became the source of inspiration for what would become Louis Vuittons Bludwolf.
Here are some very early concept sketches that were created when the project was orginally presented to us, before a solid vision of what we wanted to accomplish came to light.
I believe this was one of the first images that came across my desk that caused me to stop for a moment and really consider what I wanted to accomplish with this project. It seemed to remind me that being too on the nose was often a misstep, and that caring too much about reputations and professionalism is one thing that I went into business for myself to avoid. And a picture began to form...
Bludwolf stage 001.
An easy decision to fill up the background with that bit of monogramatic checker board that Louis is so well known for.
Maybe Bludwolf didn't need to be the primary focus of this campaign?
Short lived. And here we are at the beginning of the end. When the final image of what  would become synonomous with our little direct media guerilla marketing campaign finally took hold. And now it was just a matter of refinement.
Saving you the details I thought we might just run through all of those attempts and take the fastest route to this place, our final vision for Bludwolf, and the setting for "A bucket of blood".
What follows are just a series of images that were created after the campaign launch depicting our lovely new mascot in various new and exciting scenes.
And finally we have the iconic digital short that all of the fuss was about.
